Ninth Doctor Comic News!

From MTV News:

Titan Comics is to release a Ninth Doctorlimited series comic in March, which not only features the post Time War Doctor (played on screen by Christopher Eccleston) but Rose Tyler and Captain Jack, too.

The new, five-part Doctor Who mini-series is being written by “Who-ology” author Cavan Scott and drawn by Blair D. Shedd, with at least one cover painted by Alice X. Zhang. (We’re sure there will be variants).

The Ninth Doctor has of course regularly featured in comics before, in Doctor Who Magazine and Doctor Who Adventures, but this is his first Titan Comics appearance.

The launch of the mini series on 11th March ties in with the 10th anniversary of the return of “Doctor Who” to television. (No, really: it’s been back for 10 years in 2015!)

The MTV web site broke the news of the new limited series earlier today, revealing the story is titled “Weapons of Past Destruction.”

Leaving World War Two behind, The Ninth Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack discover that Time Lord technology, lost in the wake of the Time War, is being sold on the intergalactic black market!

Now the threat of a new temporal war brews on the horizon. Can the Doctor stop history repeating itself?

Cavan Scott is the author of 70 books and audio dramas including the Sunday Times Top 10 Bestseller Who-ology – The Official Doctor Who Miscellany, co-written with Mark Wright.

He has written for Doctor WhoThe BeanoJudge DreddSkylandersAngry Birds and Warhammer 40,000 as well as his own novels and short stories.

Blair D. Shedd’s credits include Doctor Who for IDW and now, Titan; Legends of Oz and Ghostbusters. He’s also the creator of The Raptor.
